FUNDING
Funding is decided annually by the Council, and any funds generated are adjusted solely to cover the costs in running the organisation, to carry out testing and to publish and distribute promotional material, as deemed necessary by the appropriate committees. BRUFMA is a non-profit making organisation, and the funding is adjusted to reflect this. Full members pay the basic membership fee, plus the tonnage related payment whilst Associate members pay the fixed annual fee only.
Current annual fees (2009) determined by Council are:

| Fee for PIR/PUR insulation product producers: | £0.96 per tonne of chemical raw materials purchased to manufacture rigid PIR/PUR insulation products |
| Fee for raw material suppliers (including ancillary chemical suppliers and systems houses) | £0.48 per tonne of chemical raw materials supplied into the UK rigid PIR/PUR insulation products market |
| Associate members fee | £3,745 |
| Machinery manufacturers fee | Fee for machinery producers decided by Council |
For individual projects (e.g. testing and research and promotional activities) additional funding is assessed on a project by project basis by the Council.
